Good morning, I'm Grace Holloway and this is your TC Sentinel daily briefing for Wednesday, March 11, 2026. We're enjoying another gorgeous day on the Treasure Coast. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower 80s and nearly zero chance of rain. A light southeast breeze at five to ten miles per hour will keep things pleasant through the afternoon. Tonight, patchy fog will develop after midnight, but conditions remain clear and dry overall. If you've been putting off outdoor plans, today is the day to get outside. On the education front, Fort Pierce Central High School's Ambassador Concert Choir just earned the highest honor available. The choir received a Superior Rating at the District 13 Choral Concert Music Performance Assessment. Under the direction of Elker Harris, the ensemble delivered an outstanding performance that earned them this top recognition from the district. Speaking of student achievement, two Treasure Coast high schools are making waves in drill competition. Port St. Lucie High's Jaguar Battalion Drill Team claimed first place at the regional meet, earning their thirteenth consecutive title. The team topped seven competing schools in what's also a state-qualifying event. Meanwhile, St. Lucie West Centennial High's Navy NJROTC Black Talon Company earned sixth-place finishes in both academics and armed basic drill at the state championships in Riverview. The Black Talon unit competed alongside nineteen other top-ranked NJROTC programs from across Florida. These young people are representing the Treasure Coast with discipline, dedication, and pride. It's a reminder that our schools are doing remarkable work every single day. Stay with TC Sentinel for continuing coverage. I'm Grace Holloway.
